The victim's mother alleged foul play by neighbours.

A 6-year-old girl, who had been missing since Thursday, was found dead inside a park in Sector 108 of Noida on Friday night. The girl had an injury on her chest, indicating assault. It is suspected that the girl was attacked with a blunt object.

The girl went missing on Thursday afternoon when she had gone to a park with her 10-year-old sister. The park, where the girl was found dead, is located around 2 kilometres away from her home.

The minor was last spotted while walking on a lane towards their home in Shramik Kunj 2. According to the police, the girl was missing a tooth, her ear had a piercing and a slipper - that did not belong to her - was found near the body.

After being apprised of the case, the police lodged an FIR booking unknown persons for kidnapping and murder. Harish Chander, DCP (central Noida), told The Times of India, "We are investigating the case. But one thing is clear - someone known to the family is behind the murder. The girl seems to have been accompanied to the park by someone she knew. "
