Ahead of Republic Day, woman among three injured in Srinagar grenade attack

A top Police officer told GNS that militants attacked by lobbing a grenade towards security forces.

Three civilians received minor injuries after suspected militants hurled a grenade on government forces at Hari Singh High street area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.

According to The Kashmir Walla photojournalist who was on ground reporting the incident, one woman was among the injured.

A top Police officer told GNS that militants attacked by lobbing a grenade towards security forces.

Medical Superintendent SMHS Dr Kawaljeet Singh told GNS that three persons were received with minor splinter injuries and are being treated.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants, they said.
