Since March, heatwave conditions have been reported in several parts of India, especially the North.

Although there was a brief relief in the northwest part of the country from the sweltering heat, the maximum temperatures are expected to rise again in these regions of the country.

Skymet Weather on Wednesday issued a warning with the prediction that heatwaves will last until the end of this month and may witness a downfall at the beginning of May.

The warning comes after the National Capital breached the 44-degree temperature mark this week.

The national capital recorded the highest temperature of 44.2 degrees Celsius at Siri Fort Complex on Wednesday. A 'yellow alert' has also been sounded for Delhi.

Heatwaves may have reduced the afternoon footfall on roads but it has failed to dampen the spirit of people celebrating weddings.

We are saying this because a video showing a simple arrangement, or jugaad, to beat the heatwave amid a wedding procession has caught the attention of netizens.

The short clip shared on Twitter and other platforms show a wedding procession moving ahead with a shade of a pandal above their heads. The shade is mounted on four metal frames with wheels below them.

The guests are seen dancing to drum beats as the groom is seated on top of a horse.

The clip was originally posted on Twitter by user Devyani Kohli with the caption: This is why #India is called the land of Innovation or simply "Jugaad" To beat the #Heatwave during "Baraat" Indians have found a solution."
