Upset with wife because his dinner was delayed, Noida man kills her with a 'Tawa;' Arrested
Whether a woman is a housewife or a working professional, in most cases, especially in India she is solely responsible for taking care of the house. So, when someone is working day in and day out, it is fine if there is a delay in giving food to family members.
But a man from Noida got so furious that his dinner was late that he killed his wife with a tawa. That's right! The man killed his wife with the utensil used to make chapatis just because he didn't get them on time.
The incident was reported from Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. Police rushed to the scene and said that the accused had hit his wife on the head with the 'tawa' leading to her death.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Anuj Kumar, a native of Bihar. The incident however took place at Shramik Kunj at Mamura in Sector 66 under Phase 3 police station.
According to a report by PTI, Anuj, who is an autorickshaw driver was arrested by the local police when he was near the Sector 59 Metro Station on Tuesday.
"On Monday, Kumar had returned home but soon an argument broke out between them over the delay in preparation of the dinner. The husband got enraged to the extent that he used a tawa to hit his wife Khushbu on her head, leading to her death," a police spokesperson told the Times Of India.
Phase 3 police station in-charge Vijay Kumar said the husband-wife duo hailed from Bihar and lived here with a five-year-old son.
An FIR was lodged in the matter when local residents alerted the police. Anuj has been booked under Section 302 (murder). Police said further investigation is underway in the case.
A couple of months ago, a similar very mindless incident took place in Jharkhand. An inspector in Jamtara district in Jharkhand claimed a teenage girl was arrested after her in-laws complained that she had murdered her 18-year-old husband during an altercation over her wearing jeans.
The 18-year-old girl loved to wear jeans, but her husband did not like that. The tribal couple has frequently quarrelled over the issue since their marriage around four months ago.
