Willing to fight the 2024 Lok Sabha polls from Himachal's Mandi, says Kangana Ranaut
Actor Kangana Ranaut has hinted at her foray into politics, saying she is open to fight the elections from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh if the public wants it and if the BJP gives her a ticket.
Kangana Ranaut hinted at joining politics. "I will be very much open to all kinds of participation," she said.
"I want others also to come forward who are hard working. They are people who really hard, I want them to come forward too," she added.
When asked if she is open to doing public service by entering politics, the actress said she is very open to all kinds of participation.
On being asked about her plan to join politics, Kangana Ranaut told AajTak, "Jis tarah ke haalat honge, government chahegi mera participation ho, vo I will be very much open to all kinds of participation." She further added, "As I said, it would be great if people in Himachal Pradesh would give me a chance to serve. So, definitely, it will be sobhagya ki baat."
She lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called him a 'Mahapurush'.
"It is sad that both PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi are competitors. But, Modiji knows he has no opponent."
Talking about the upcoming elections in the hill state, the Queen actor said, "Himachal Pradesh won't fall for false promises of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). People in Himachal have their own solar power and people grow their own vegetables."
"Freebies won't work for AAP in Himachal, " she added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana will be next seen in Emergency. She will be seen essaying the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Her film also features Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade and Milind Soman. The actress also has Tejas lined up in the pipeline. She has also bankrolled Tiku Weds Sheru, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
