Unacceptable, complaint filed: Scindia on Indian passengers' fight on flight
Civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has ordered action against those passengers involved in fight onboard Thai Smile Airways flight from Bangkok to Kolkata.
Earlier in the day, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) took a note of the fight in onboard the flight and sought a detailed report from concerned authorities in this regard.
Zulfiquar Hasan, DG BCAS, had said that they have taken cognizance of the viral video which showed a fight between passengers on a Thai Airways flight to Kolkata.
Thai Smile Airways had submitted a flight disturbance incident report of the fight on December 26 to the Indian Aviation Authorities. The report said that a passenger 37C refused to follow safety rules.
The video of the brawl in the aircraft went viral after the reported incident on December 26. The fight involved a bunch of Indian passengers on board Thai Smile Airways.
Reports suggests that the fight was recorded when the flight was on way from Bangkok to Kolkata on Tuesday.
The video showed the two men in an altercation while a flight attendant stood next to them. After sometime, a fight broke out and a group of men starts beating the passenger. The flight attendant attempted to stop the fight but in vain. After the brawl, other passengers in the aircraft turned their attention to the fighting men.
