Kerala man who won Rs 25 crore Onam Bumper is now selling lottery tickets
The Kerala man who won the Onam bumper lottery 2022 worth Rs 25 crore has started selling lottery tickets.
Anoop, a native of Sreevaraham, inaugurated his lottery store at Manakkad junction in Thodupuzha last week.
Anoop is currently buying lottery tickets from nearby lottery agencies but he plans to start his own agency soon.
The Onam bumper lottery winner told Mathrubhumi lottery brought fortune in his life and thus, he wants to make a career by selling lottery tickers.
Anoop has named his lottery store MA Lucky Centre, by using the initials of his wife Maya's name and his name.
Anoop worked as an auto-rickshaw driver before winning the bumper lottery. He continued to drive his rickshaw a few days after his win but his brother took over.
After deducting the taxes, Anoop received nearly Rs 12 crore.
Anoop bought the ticket carrying the number TJ 750605 which was announced as the winner of the first prize of the Onam Bumper 2022 (BR-87) lottery on September 18 last year. The winning ticket was sold by Pazhavangadi Bhagavathy agency in Thiruvananthapuram.
Before winning the Kerala bumper lottery last year, Anoop was planning to move to Malaysia to start working as a chef. His loan of Rs 3 lakh was approved by the bank just a day before the lottery win announcement.
Soon after he won the jackpot prize, Anoop told his bank that he no longer needed the loan and also cancelled his trip to Malaysia.
