Peak Bengaluru: Man Rents 'Jail Cell' With '24×7 Security' After Unsuccessful House Hunt, Called 'Lucky'
Getting a rental space of your choice is quite difficult, especially in a crowded city like Bengaluru. With many flocking to the city for jobs, the city is struggling to keep up with the demand for rental properties. One man took to Twitter to talk about his new-found fully furnished property in Bengaluru. However, it has a catch that you would never expect. The property that he rented out is a jail cell. A peak Bengaluru moment for sure!
Manthan Gupta, a Twitter user, posted a picture of a tiny space equipped with a bed, a tiny cupboard and a table. The extremely congested place had a small window and doors with metal bars. He captioned it, "Finally found a fully furnished home in Bengaluru. Gated society and 24×7 security.” Social media users were quick to understand that it was a jail cell. They commented on the post with sarcasm and jokes.
One stated, “Whoever stays there is lucky to have sunlight in the room." Another person claimed, "Mere room se 20% hi chota hai aur mere me toh security bhi nahi hai (It’s only 20 percent smaller than my room and I don’t even have security).”
A third user commented, "Gotta hustle hard to get one cell like this.” Another user wrote, "I think prison can be a transformative experience. It can help make people more centred, help them get back in shape and maybe develop some very positive habits. Honestly, someone should create a way for people to voluntarily rent a jail cell."
