Kaswan captioned the photo saying, "A leopard fell into an open well in Assam. But rescued successfully by the forest department. He is saying something?"

The guessing game ensued in the comments section as netizens came up with suitable answers for the same. "He is pleading us - both people and forest department to close or cover the wells and deep pit. He wants to live peacefully like us," one user said. Another one added, "He is simply terrified."

As quoted by the Indian Express, the villagers had heard a roar from an open well nearby, indicating that there was a leopard on the loose inside. The state's forest department was alerted about the situation as they reached the scene quickly. The animal was rescued and wrapped up inside a net, only for it to be freed in the forest.
