The residents of Texarkana in Texas were surprised by fish falling from the sky on houses and streets following heavy rain due to a thunderstorm which hit the city.

Tom Brigham, a car store director in the city, confirmed the incident, saying he saw fish falling from the sky during the thunderstorm on Wednesday.

"It was raining and it seems there was an upcoming hurricane, then we saw fish falling,” according to the Independent.

Brigham added that he saw about 25 to 30 fish, the length of each was about six to seven inches, scattered on the ground outside his store, and on the nearby building.

A similar scene took place in a football field, where players saw fish near the side lines of the field.
