Gacek first gained popularity after being featured in a 2020 documentary.

There's no doubt anymore that cats rule the internet with every jump, walk, or roll they do.

The popularity of cat videos and content on social media is perhaps an indication of how they capture the hearts of millions around the world with the curtness and curious demeanor.

Their 'star power' is pretty evident on the web. But now they are starting to rule the hearts of tourists as well.

One chonky feline has become one of the highest-rated tourist attractions in a big European city for his grumpy looks and immense street presence.

While going to a new city, tourists usually think about visiting historical landmarks, museums, monuments, bridges, iconic buildings and parks. But if you are visiting Szczecin in Poland, your guide might take you to see Gacek the cat, a black and white cat

Believe it or not, the feline has its own Instagram page and a section on Google Maps that has a near 5-star rating. A report by Business Insider says the cat has now out-performed other attractions in the Polish city with its high rating.

Gacek first gained popularity after being featured in a 2020 documentary. Since then, his popularity has skyrocketed by roaming the streets of Szczecin and living in a small makeshift home on Kaszubska Street.

Tourists and locals just can't ignore him while visiting the area. They spot him on sidewalks and try to click his pictures. Some even offer food.

Reports have claimed that fans of Gacek have travalled from neighbouring countries to catch a glimpse of him.

His Google rating is a thing of envy for other attractions.

A tourist wrote, ""Travelled across Europe by bike and made sure to have a stop to visit him. Excellent Boi, he chonky."

"This cat is a legend of Szczecin. Unfortunately, it was not possible to take a picture with him, but it was still great to see him," wrote another.

While visitors do have a good time taking photos of Gacek, some have expressed concern over his weight, according to a Polish website.

The Szczecin Society for the Care of Animals has said that locals and tourists should not feed him if he comes on their path.
