They explained that companies are required to renew work permits that will expire during the period from January 1 to January 12

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has decided to stop renewing work permits from January 1-11, 2021 in order to work on the new automated system, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources.

They explained that companies are required to renew work permits that will expire during the period from January 1 to January 12, as the authority will completely stop the system. However, it will launch a new automated system “Easiest” on January 12, 2021.

The numbers of work files currently registered with PAM will change according to the developed automated system. Employers will be able to inquire about new file numbers through the “Easiest” portal. The employers’ applications will be received again on January 17.

Meanwhile, PAM announced its intention to make all services provided in labor departments electronic which will not require individuals to visit the labor departments from the beginning of 2021.

It affirmed that the new services, which will be provided through the “Easiest” application, will give employers the ability to complete procedures and attach electronic copies of documents related to the various transactions provided such as external academic qualifications, passport copies and others. A code will be issued to present to the reception employee with the original civil ID of the applicant.
