Updated list of countries Indians have visa-free access

At the peak of the pandemic in 2020, India has access to just 23 nations. However, those with Indian passports will now be able to travel to these 60 nations without a visa.

The Indian passport has regained some of its strength since the government eased the travel ban imposed because to the Covid outbreak in March of this year. The nation is currently ranked 87 out of 199 passports in a recently published global passport rating list.

The strength of diplomatic ties between nations is measured by the Henley Passport Index. A nation's ranking increases with the amount of "easy of access" it provides to outsiders. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) provided the information used to create this index.

India placed 83 in the most recent Henley Passport Index, an improvement from its 90th place in the rankings from 2021.

The following nations attained the top 10 positions in the Henley Passport Index:

2.) Singapore, South Korea

3.) Germany, Spain

4.) Finland, Italy, Luxembourg

5.) Austria, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden

6.) France, Ireland, Portugal, United Kingdom

7.) Belgium, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, United States

8.) Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Greece, Malta

9.) Hungary

10.) Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia

Since Japan is at the top of the index, bearers of Japanese passports can travel to 193 nations. In 2020, only 76 nations were included in this.
