Kuldhara, the haunted village, is minutes away from Sidharth-Kiara's wedding venue: Details you must know!
Bollywood actors Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are all set to tie the knot at Jaisalmer's Suryagarh Palace. Located in the heart of Rajasthan's Thar desert, Suryagarh is a fusion of ancient charm and pure luxury. The fortress hotel that gives a magnificent view of the seamless desert is known to preserve its traditional allure while embracing touches of modernity. However, what caught the attention of many is the palace's close proximity to Kuldhara.
Kuldhara is a ghost village located 17km west of Jaisalmer. Folklore attached to the place says that once upon a time it used to be a prosperous village that belonged to the Paliwal Brahmins community. Unfortunately, the fate of the village took a different turn when the prime minister of the state Salim Singh pronounced his desire to marry the village head's daughter by force. Instead of being afraid of the dire threats posed by the prime minister on the village and its people, the villagers gathered together for a meeting and decided to flee their ancestral homes. Before completely vanishing from the village, the Paliwal Brahmins cast a curse on Kuldhara that no one would ever settle in their land.
Since then for 300 years, the land has remained barren and uninhabited. Apparently, those who tried staying at the village were forced to vacate immediately due to the paranormal phenomenon in the area.
Though there are other tales revolving around the reason for the vanishing of the Paliwal Brahmins from the village, the ghost story seems to fascinate most people.
Well, the Bollywood couple has managed to make Kuldhara a topic of interest with their grand wedding in the region.
