"rihanna !! stop using my religion as an aesthetic !! that Ganesh figurine at the end of the chain :( is a holy and sacred figure for us hindus," read another tweet.

A user mentioned her infamous tweet during the famers protest and tweeted, "Why only mock hinduism like this? Why only hurt our religious sentiments? "Lucky and safe play from @rihanna ... Knowing that Hindus won't go for any fatwa or beheading of someone...
If she had tried using Muhammad image or anything like charlie hebdo she would have been in jahanum right now (according to islamist)...," another user said.

Rihanna was recently trolled when she had tweeted for the farmer's agitation in Delhi, following the January 26 violence. Later, reports of Rihanna being paid to tweet in favour of the farmers' protest had also surfaced.
