"My time has come to let The Undertaker rest in peace," the legendary wrestler said at his final WWE appearance at Survivor Series.
The Undertaker walked out to the ring for one "Final Farewell", with several of his contemporaries coming out to pay tribute to the legendary wrestler. "For 30 long years I've made that slow walk to this ring and have laid people to rest time and time again. And now my time has come. My time has come to let The Undertaker rest in peace," The Undertaker said at the ThunderDome.
A host of stars including John Cena, Vince McMahon and Stone Cold hailed the 55-year-old after he finally laid down his iconic hat and gloves.
But it was the Rock who had fans crying with laughter after sharing the story of the time he first encountered the Undertaker.
The Fast and Furious actor posted a heartful tweet about being in awe of the WWE icon when he arrived at the company in the late 1990s.
Meanwhile, 16-time World Champion John Cena has taken to Twitter to send the following heartfelt message to The Undertaker, thanking him for all the in-ring moments that the legend has given us.
WWE Chairman Vince McMahon also paid tribute to The Undertaker, before bringing him out to the ring.
Then he lowered his head as his signature gong sounded. The Undertaker rose as the lights brightened, did his throat slashing gesture, and walked back up the ramp.
His final match was against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in a "Boneyard Match".
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan pays tribute to veteran WWE star. Calling Mark an ‘absolute legend’, Abhishek further tweeted, “Remember as a young teenager seeing this for the 1st time and being in absolute awe! Since then, the whole world has been in awe! Absolute LEGEND! #FarewellTaker @undertaker."
