Earlier, the Saudi Arabia civil aviation authority said on Thursday that it has approved the landing of international flights at Prince Abdul Majeed Bin Abdulaziz Airport in Al-Ula, the state news agency reported.

The authority also said the airport's capacity has been raised from 100,000 to 400,000 passengers annually.

More than 115.92 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 2,701,350 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Saturday.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
