Only vaccinated people can perform Umrah and prayers at two Holy Mosques from Oct.10
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that, starting from 6am on Sunday, October 10, 2021, the authorities have decided to limit the issuance of permits to perform Umrah and prayers in the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque for vaccinated people only.
The ministry explained that it will be limited to those who received two doses of the virus vaccine approved in the Kingdom, and the cases exempted from taking the vaccine, as shown by the “Tawakkalna” application.
The authorities said that the pilgrims who have completed the reservation and issuance of a permit to perform the Umrah, prayer or visitation without completing the two vaccination doses, must hurry to take the second dose 48 hours before the date of the permit in order to avoid cancellation, knowing that the dates are available to take and complete the vaccine doses in the vaccination centers all over the kingdom.
The Ministry indicated that all precautionary and preventive measures related to the epidemic are subject to continuous evaluation by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), according to the developments in the epidemiological situation.
The new update states that immunisation is limited to those who have received two doses of the Corona vaccine only, and that the recovering person who did not receive the vaccine will not have any characteristics, and that those who received the first dose will not be covered by immunisation, and the case will appear received one dose and in case they did not receive the second dose.
After 90 days, the condition turns into “not proven,” and if the second dose is taken, it turns into “immune.”
