A Saudi female soldier captured the hearts of millions, after she appeared embracing a young child coming aboard the Saudi evacuation ship from Sudan to Jeddah.

The social media users circulated the image in which the soldier appeared, carrying the little boy, while arranging the evacuation of the nationals arriving from Sudan.

Heavy battle is taking place between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in several parts of Sudan with Khartoum being the worst hit.

The female soldier's image became the talk of social media and Saudi circles during the past few hours, as it garnered hundreds and hundreds of likes and reposts, amid great praise for the female soldier's humanitarian work.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Saudi Arabia had evacuated 356 people of 26 nationalities from Sudan since the beginning of the evacuations.

It also stated that 10 of its citizens were evacuated in the Saudi ship that docked in Jeddah.

It confirmed that it had evacuated 189 nationals of Arab and foreign countries.

In addition, the number of nationals evacuated by Saudi Arabia from Sudan during the past few days has reached 356, including 101 Saudis and 255 of 26 other nationalities.
