Is Reynolds discontinuing its iconic blue cap pen? Company responds
Reynolds, the notable pen manufacturer, has dismissed rumours about discontinuing the production of its iconic 045 fine carbure pen, popularly known as the Sachin Tendulkar pen.
The clarification came after a post on a social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), went viral, claiming the manufacturers are going to end the production of the 045 pen.

The post caused quite a stir among people who have been using this pen since childhood. They took to X and shared their nostalgia and disappointment. “So sad to hear. I gave my 8th to 10th paper from this pen then I switched to Reynolds Jetter. After 6 months back to 045,” a user wrote.
“The best ball point pen I have used. Very efficient and durable. Wrote evenly at all times,” another user wrote.

However, Reynolds promptly issued a statement, assuring that the 045 ball pen would continue to be available in the market. The company urged its partners, stakeholders, and customers to refer to official sources for accurate updates.
"In light of recent misinformation, we wish to clarify: The information being circulated is false,” the statement read.
The Reynolds 045 fine carbure pen, priced at Rs 10 per unit, is described by the company as a 'classic that will never go out of style'.
