Dubai starts home vaccination drive for senior citizens
So far, the UAE has vaccinated 4,313,868 people with a rate of 43.62 doses per 100 people
The Community Development Authority (CDA) and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) launch home vaccination drive for senior citizens in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) to ensure wellbeing of the elderly.
So far, the UAE has vaccinated 4,313,868 people with a rate of 43.62 doses per 100 people— one of the highest in the world.
This is in line with the Ministry's plan to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all members of society and efforts to reach acquired immunity resulting from the vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the COVID-19 virus.
The initiative aims to ensure the senior citizens who are unable to visit medical centres have easy access to the vaccine.
