Babies born in UAE on day of Hope Probe feat termed ‘astronauts of the future’

The media office wrote, “Astronauts of the future, born on Feb 9, 2021 — the day the UAE made it to Mars.

The UAE’s first mission to Mars reached the red planet and entered orbit on Tuesday after a seven-month, 494 million-km journey, allowing it to start sending data about the Martian atmosphere and climate.

Back on the earth, the celebratory mood reached its zenith.

The Government of Dubai Media Office on Twitter shared a post of babies born on the day of the historic red letter day.

The media office wrote, “Astronauts of the future, born on Feb 9, 2021 — the day the UAE made it to Mars.

“New beginning for a bright Emirati future that does not know the impossible.”

The post had four photos of newborns. They were given astronaut suits at the incubator ward of a hospital in Dubai.

The cute photos of babies donning blue spacesuits will surely melt your heart.

A twitter user, Binta Suleiman wrote, “This a beautiful baby... Sooooo cute!!!.”

Akhivae wrote, “Congratulations UAE!”

Mohamed Al Naqbi said, “A beautiful and inspiring initiative… I hope this has psychological impact on children in the future…”

The Mars programme is part of the UAE's efforts to develop its scientific and technological capabilities and reduce its reliance on oil. The UAE Space Agency, the fifth globally to reach the planet, even has a plan for a Mars settlement by 2117.
