UAQ announces 100% online school classes

Abu Dhabi schools welcomed back students to campus on Sunday after months of e-learning.

The Ministry of Education and the Umm Al Quwain emergency, crisis and disaster management team announced schools in Umm Al Quwain will switch to 100 per cent online learning ‘until further notice’.

The Ministry announced on Sunday, February 14.

Umm Al Quwain has become the third emirate to switch to 100 per cent e-learning as a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19.

Ajman had announced the switch to online learning on February 9, followed by Sharjah on February 11.

The move came in response to the strategic requirements pursued by the UAE to ensure the health and safety of UAE citizens and residents in general, and our students, and the school community in particular.

The Ministry is keen to implement the precautionary and preventive measures approved by the emergency and crisis management teams that adopt approved national policies, protocols and measures to safeguard the community.
