The two-day meeting on February 23-24 coincides with the UAE’s Golden Jubilee year 2021.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, will chair a government meeting on Tuesday to outline a strategic framework for the country’s development vision for the next 50 years.

The two-day meeting on Feb. 23-24 coincides with the UAE’s Golden Jubilee year 2021.

Sheikh Mohamed said the year 2021 would be the year of breakthrough and achievements for the UAE as it marks the 50th year of Union.

Sheikh Mohammed on his Twitter account said, “Tomorrow, my brother Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, and I will chair a ministerial meeting during which we will discuss the state’s priorities for the next 50 years... the form of our government and how to accelerate our development path and improve the business and economic environment in our country to achieve new competitive leaps.

"The retreat aims to draft a series of plans and initiatives for harnessing our energies and preparing our institutions for what the UAE will be like in the next fifty years. The future requires proactive plans, innovative initiatives and new skills, to maintain our leadership and success and provide better lives for generations to come in the country," he added.

The government retreat coincides with the UAE’s Golden Jubilee and aims to plan the country’s development process for the next fifty years, as well as harness the efforts, resources and capacities of all national authorities and sectors, to design new action models and plans that will make the UAE the best country in the world in terms of quality of life in the next fifty years.
