Dubai: ‘Reading Treasure’ drive brought into being
Rashid Centre for People of Determination in Dubai has launched the ‘Reading Treasure’ campaign aimed at promoting the reading habit among People of Determination, their families and the centre’s employees.
This came on the sidelines of the opening event of the Rashid Centre Library held recently in the presence of Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, Managing Director of the Rashid Centre for People of Determination, Maryam Othman, Director General of the Centre, and American actor Steven Seagal.
The launch of the “Reading Treasure” campaign and the inauguration of the Rashid Centre Library comes as part of the efforts made by the Rashid Centre for People of Determination to support the activities of the Reading Month, which the UAE celebrates throughout the month of March, and is held under the title ‘My Family Reads’.
During the event, all precautionary measures were carried out and a social distancing policy was applied. The “Reading Treasure” campaign aims to motivate People of Determination and their families to read, believing in the importance of reading and its great impact on People of Determination.
He expressed his happiness with the launch of the campaign and the inauguration of the Rashid Centre Library and said, “The opening of the Rashid Centre library is an additional step that we are all proud of, and that will help create a generation of People of Determination who are very proud of their abilities, talents and determination to face challenges, especially in light of the current circumstances the world is going through.”
