UAE launches 6-month-multiple entry visa at Dhs1,150 for speedy processing of golden residency

The long-term visa includes spouse and children, one executive director, one consultant, and visas for 3 domestic workers.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has set Dhs1,150 as the fees for issuing the 6-month-multiple entry visa to finalise the procedures of golden residency (10 years).

Fees shall be paid electronically online via the ICA website: https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae /

The service under which an entry permit is issued for a period of 6 months, which can be also extended for a similar period to facilitate the completion of procedures for obtaining a golden residency.

The eligible categories are: investors (public investments / real estate investor), entrepreneurs (owner / founder of a project), specialised talents (doctors/scientists), creative specialists in culture and art, inventors, specialists in priority scientific fields, athletes, Ph.D. holders, specialists in the fields of engineering and science (epidemiology and viruses / artificial intelligence / big data / computer engineering / electronics engineering / programming engineering, electrical, genetics, and biotechnology ), outstanding students (high school students/university students).

A public investor should bring a letter from an investment fund approved in the UAE stating that there is a deposit of Dhs2 million, or a valid commercial or industrial license with the company’s incorporation contract with the investor so that the investor's capital is not less than Dhs2 million, so as to be eligible to the golden residency visa.

He/she should has an investing in a new or existing company as a partner with shares of a minimum of Dhs2 million, not financed by a loan. Alternatively, he/she should bring a letter from the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) stating that he/she is the owner of a company that pays the government no less than Dhs250,000 annually, or FTA letter stating that he/she is a partner in an establishment that pays the tax to the government and whose share in the tax is no less than Dhs250,000 annually.

A public investor must provide a proof that he/she will retain the investment for at least 3 years from the date of issuance of the residence permit.

The investor's financial liability should not be burdened with claims or debts affecting his/her financial solvency of not less than Dhs2 million. He/she will be granted a multiple entry permit for 6 months that can be extended for another 6 months.

For the real estate investors, a letter must be presented from the Real Estate Registration Department in the relevant emirate stating that he/she owns one or more properties whose value is not less than Dh2 million, providing that the property is not subject to a loan. Proof of housing in the country (home ownership or house rental contract, is also necessary.

Talented people (doctors and scientists) must have an approval letter from the Ministry of Health in the country to practice the profession of medicine (doctors), a letter of recommendation from the Emirates Council of Scientists or a letter from the Secretariat of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Academic Excellence stating that he/she is a recipient of the Academic Excellence Medal (Scholars).

Creative people in the fields of culture and art must having an approved letter from the Department of Culture and Arts in the relevant emirate.

Executive directors must be holding a certified degree from the university with minimum 5 years of experience, salary of not less than Dhs50,000, and valid work contract.

Specialists in the fields of science and athletes must have a specialized certificate in one of the rare fields specified by the authorities in the country (scientific fields of priority), in addition to having a recommendation letter from the General Sports Authority or one of the sports councils (athletes).

Ph.D. holders and specialists in the fields of engineering and science must present a certified copy of the PhD from the Ministry of Education in one of the priority disciplines (Ph.D. degrees).

He/ She should also bring a certified copy of the university degree from the Ministry of Education in one of the above-mentioned majors (engineering and science fields), and a work contract for a profession in one of the above-mentioned specializations (engineering and science fields).

Outstanding high school students must bring a recommendation letter from the Ministry of Education, while, outstanding university students must bring a recommendation letter from the university stating that his GPA is not less than (3.8).

The application will be canceled electronically after the lapse of (30) days in the event that the application is returned due to missing data or non-completion of the required documents. The application will be canceled if it is returned (3) times due to missing data or non-completion of the required documents.
