Abu Dhabi makes PCR tests mandatory for multiple entries for all

The authorities approved allowing entry to the emirate within 48 hours of receiving a negative result of PCR tests

The Abu Dhabi Emergencies, Crises and Disasters teams announced the adoption of updated procedures to enter the emirate, starting from Monday, July 19, as part of proactive efforts and precautionary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 strains and to ensure the continuity of examinations.

The authorities approved allowing entry to the emirate within 48 hours of receiving a negative result of PCR tests, and within 24 hours of receiving a negative result of the examination of the DPI.

Persons who entered the emirate with a negative PCR test result are required to perform a PCR examination on the fourth day in the event of a stay of 4 consecutive days or more.

They are also required to carry out a PCR examination on the eighth day from the date of entry in the event of a stay of 8 consecutive days or more.

People who entered the emirate with a DPI examination must perform a PCR examination on the third day of entry in the event of a stay of 48 hours or more.

They are also required to do a PCR examination on the seventh day from the date of entry in the event of a stay of 7 consecutive days or more.

The DPI test allows a person to enter the emirate once only.

The person needs to do PCR tests to enter Abu Dhabi for the second time.

The procedures apply to all vaccinated and non-vaccinated citizens and residents.

Fines will be imposed on those who fail to perform the necessary examinations.
