Babies born on Eid Al Adha increase festive zeal in UAE

Between the first few hours of the celebrations from Monday evening to 12 noon the following day (July 19 to 20), at least 13 babies were born across the UAE.

Children bring happiness and to have them on special occasions such as the Eid Al Adha in commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) willingness to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismael (AS), as an act of his obedience to God is the gift multiple times over.

Between the first few hours of the celebrations from Monday evening to 12 noon the following day (July 19 to 20), at least 13 babies were born across the UAE.

While three were still unnamed, the 10 were Asma Randhana, Omar Bin Riyas Muhammed, Elisha Alexis Borrilo, Hamdan Ahmed Darwish Al Shamsi, Rashed Mater Al Mansoori, Danial Ramez Nabil, Mansoor Alkyeli, Evana Sumesh, Adam Sultan Rashid Taybi, and Sultan Hazaa Al Jallaf.

Indian Omar Bin Riyas Muhammed was born at 11:59 pm on July 19 through normal delivery at the Aster Hospital in Al Qusais, Dubai to Riyas Ahmed and Hafsath Riyas.

He was 3.5 kgs and is seventh in the family. Riyas and Hafsath said: “We are immensely grateful to have our baby boy on the blessed day of Eid Al Adha.”

Emirati Rashed Mater Al Mansoori and Egyptian Danial Ramez Nabil were born at the same time, at 12:01 am at the Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi on July 20.

Their parents are Mater Al Mansoori and N. Al Mansoori, and Ramez Nabil Mounir and Mariam Nabil Naguib, respectively.

The former was 2.61 kgs while the latter was 4.02 kgs.

Mater Al Mansoori said: “We have been longing for the arrival of our baby since my wife got pregnant. Rashed is our second child. Though the delivery was expected to be around the time of Eid Al Adha holidays, we did not expect that the child would be born exactly on Eid Al Adha day. This is a true blessing and we do not have the words to thank God. We will cherish this moment of joy and happiness for our lifetime and will eternally be grateful to the Lord Almighty for His benevolence.”

At 12:02 a.m. on July 20, and in the same hospital, Emirati Mansoor Alkyeli at 2.97 kgs was born to M. Alkyeli and F. Almazrouei.

Pakistani Asma Randhana was born at 8:52 pm on July 19 through emergency Caesarian Section at Aster Hospital in Al Qusais, Dubai to Muhammed Awais and Maliha Azhar.

She was 2.76 kgs and the second child in the family.

Muhammed and Maliha said: “Having a baby on Eid is like getting a double gift from Allah Allhamdulillah.”

Filipina Elisha Alexis Borrilo, the first born to Marlon and Esther Borrilo was delivered by emergency Caesarian Section at 2:09 a.m. on July 20 at the Aster Hospital in Al Qusais, Dubai.

She was 3.3 kgs. Marlon and Esther said: “We are very thankful and happy for the safe delivery of our baby girl. Thanks to all the doctors and nurses who assisted.”

Emirati Hamdan Ahmed Darwish Al Shamsi was born at 2:04 am on July 20, weighing 3.41 kgs at the Medeor Hospital in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi to Ahmed Darwish Al Shamsi and Eiman Akhaine Ali Alkhayeli. Ahmed Darwish Al Shamsi said: “Hamdan is our fifth child, and a true blessing of God. We have been waiting to welcome him and expecting the delivery for some days. The entire family is happy as the child was born on an auspicious day.”

Indian Evana Sumesh was born at 9:32 am on July 20 at Zulekha Hospital (Dubai).

The second of Sumesh Chandran and Lijomol Mohanan weighed 3.12 kgs and measured 48cms.
