Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty receive UAE's 'Golden Visa'
The United Arab Emirates has granted its coveted Golden Visa to Malayalam superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal. This is the first time that the UAE government is bestowing the coveted recognition on actors from the Malayalam film industry, according to reports.
Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay have been granted golden visas earlier. Golden Visa, a long-term residence visa introduced by the UAE government in 2019, allows the recipients to live and work in the country without the need of a national sponsor for 10 years.
Reportedly, this is the first time that Malayalam actors are granted UAE’s Golden Visa.
On the workfront, Mammootty’s Puzhu and Mohanlal’s 12th Man went on floors earlier this week. Mohanlal is currently shooting for Prithviraj’s second directorial venture Bro Daddy in Hyderabad. Mammootty’s Puzhu, which marks the directorial debut of Ratheena, will also see him sharing screenspace with Parvathy Thiruvoth for the first time. 12th Man marks Mohanlal’s fourth collaboration with Jeethu Joseph.
