UAE passport most powerful in the Arab world, with access to 175 countries without a visa

The UAE is the only Arab country among the top 20 countries in 2021, where passport holders have access to 175 countries without a visa.

The United Arab Emirates retained the lead of the Arab countries and the 15th globally in terms of ranking the most powerful passports around the world during the Coronavirus pandemic, according to the latest report of the Henley Passport Index.

The Henley index is evaluated by the passports most suitable for travel, according to the number of destinations that holders can access without a prior visa.

The UAE is the only Arab country among the top 20 countries in 2021, where passport holders have access to 175 countries without a visa.

Qatar came second at the level of Arab countries and 59 globally, while Kuwait came third and ranked 60 globally, followed by Bahrain fourth in the Arab world and 68 globally, and then the Sultanate of Oman fifth in the Arab world (70 globally).

The Henley index includes 199 passports and 227 different travel destinations, and the index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
