Sheikh Sultan orders beautification of facades in Dibba Al Hisn

Some 80 per cent of the development work for 13 buildings was already completed

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has instructed the authorities concerned to carry out a project to beautify the façades of 43 buildings overlooking the cornice of Dibba Al Hisn beach.

This was revealed by Eng. Khawla Musallam, branch manager of Dibba Al Hisn Directorate of Town Planning and Survey, through the Direct Line programme broadcast live on Sharjah Radio and TV.

Some 80 per cent of the development work for 13 buildings was already completed, while the development work of the other 30 buildings was completed by some 20 to 40 per cent, she said.

She explained that in co-ordination with the Dibba Al Hisn Police and Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, the directorate’s branch set the working hours for a construction contractor from 6am till 9pm at the request of the inhabitants of the area where the work was being done.

This came in response to a complaint received by the programme from a citizen about the inconvenience caused to them as a result of the contractor starting work daily from 4am till almost midnight.
