UAE hospitals welcome 5 newborns during the first few hours of Eid Al-Fitr

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children, a Mubadala Health partner, celebrated the first day of Eid Al-Fitr with the arrival of three newborns – two girls and one boy.

Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany, CEO of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children said: “We are so blessed to deliver these precious newborns into the world at this momentous time of the year during Eid Al-Fitr. Including the babies born on this special day, a total of 28,279 babies have been born at Danat Al Emarat Hospital since we delivered our first baby on 28 October 2015.

Of the total number of births, 14,731 boys were delivered and 13,548 girls, with 15,605 overall, born of Emirati parents. Our team of obstetricians, pediatricians, neonatologists, midwives, and nurses continue to provide unparalleled care to many Abu Dhabi families and their newborns.”

The first family to celebrate their newborn was the Emirati AlHassan Al-Kindi family. The newborn, a girl, was born in good health, praise be to God, and they named her Noura, a name that her grandfather has chosen, may God protect him.

Her birth weight was 2.79 KG, and she was born at 3:48 AM on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. Her father said: “We are really fortunate to welcome our newborn daughter during Eid doubling our joy.

“She is our second daughter, and we are grateful that she came to celebrate Eid with us. We would like to thank all members of the medical and nursing staff at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for the outstanding care that they provided us with. Eid Mubarak”.

The second newborn delivered at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children was at 5:23 AM on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr for the family of Mr. Khalfan Al Suwaidi.

Celebrating their first baby, and on this occasion, the father of the girl, Hamda, said: “The birth of our daughter on the first day of Eid was a wonderful gift to us. I would like to thank the staff of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for their continuous care of my wife and child during this period, as we witnessed the strict implementation of safety measures and guidelines to enhance patient safety and experience within the hospital.”

The third newborn on Eid Al-Fitr at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi is for Mr. Saif Obaid Alzaabi’s family, an Emirati, who was born at 5:50 AM. The father said: “We have named our newborn Obaid, and he weighed 3.53 KG.

God willing, he was born on the first day of Eid, and his siblings were eagerly awaiting his arrival. His birth on this special day brought joy to the family. We thank God that he and his mother are in good health. Our joy is doubled on this blessed day. MashAllah.”

The hospital distributed flowers and chocolates to all patients and children who are spending Eid Al-Fitr at the hospital.

A Pakistani couple got an extra special Eid al-Fitr gift as the clock struck 12 on Monday in the form of their newborn baby at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi. The hospital welcomed the first baby born on the auspicious day in the UAE.

Saba Irfan (25) and Irfan Khan (35) welcomed their third child Shahmeer Khan at 12:00. Dr. Fady Georges Hachem, Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi, delivered the baby boy weighing 2.70 kg with a height of 49 cm.

“We are thrilled to welcome our newest family member. His arrival has doubled the joy we feel on this auspicious day,” said Irfan, adding that he feels very fortunate and is hopeful of providing a bright future for his little one. He thanked Dr. Hachem for bringing their baby into the world.

“It is a great privilege for us as doctors to be the first ones to hold these babies as they come into the world. The baby’s birth on a special day adds to the joy of their family. We are delighted and wish baby Shahmeer and his family the best,” said Dr. Hachem.

At Medeor Hospital, Abu Dhabi, an Egyptian expat couple welcomed their third child at 12:01 on Eid day. Little Ayla is one of the babies born in the early hours of the special day.

The baby, weighing 3.61 kg with a height of 51 cm, was delivered by Dr. (Prof.) Walid El-Sherbiny, Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynecology & HOD, at Medeor Hospital, Abu Dhabi. The parents Amira Magdy (32) and Khaled Fahmy are on top of the world.

“Ayla is our third child. This pregnancy was a surprise for us. Now, Ayla surprised us again by coming to us as the most precious gift from above on this blessed day. We are thrilled to finally hold our angel in our arms,” said Amira.

“Children are God’s gift, and it’s a privilege for me to be a part of the auspicious occasion. The staff at Medeor Hospital would like to extend our warm regards to them. We wish the best for the baby and the parents to have a healthy and happy life ahead,” said Dr El-Sherbiny.
