Dubai to give golden visas to best performing students in September

The step comes in support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid’s approach in honoring the top high school students in the country.

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, approved a new reward system for Dubai's best high school students. The best high school students will be rewarded accordingly, that include scholarships, cash prizes and golden visas as part of plans to empower future generations.

Sheikh Hamdan affirmed that the hopes and ambitious goals could only be achieved with the support and empowerment of future generations and students, especially the top achievers among them.

It is necessary to build up generations in a way that enables them to fulfill duties towards the desired future to the fullest in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan added.

On Sunday, Sheikh Hamdan announced new reward system for Dubai's best high school students, saying “We have approved a system to honour and sponsor the top students in Dubai, in appreciation of all those who worked hard, and to meet the emirate's needs and future priorities from the competencies and specializations required in the labor market, in order to empower the Emiratisation rates. The move also comes in line with the national goals towards human development. Our goal is to support students and inspire them to continue excellence to reach the top positions. Excellence and success have no end.”

The step comes in support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid’s approach in honoring the top high school students in the country. It also aims to incubate distinguished talents and competencies and direct them towards future sectors through harnessing the capabilities to prepare a generation armed with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead the country’s future.

This unified system, which has been developed to honor students from various curricula in the Emirate of Dubai represents a road map to motivate high school students to creativity, excellence and innovation, and to provide all the necessary means to achieve their aspirations for the future.

This came during the adoption of a system for honoring top high school graduates from Emiratis and residents in the schools in Dubai, both public and private that follow the ministerial, American, British, and the International Baccalaureate curricula.

The first batch of top achieving students will be honored in September 2022 after completing the targeted curricula. Cash prizes will be disbursed to 50 high school students in the main curricula in the Emirate of Dubai, with academic sponsorship for Emirati students, whether in private local universities or on scholarships abroad. Moreover, the resident students will receive discounts in international university branches in free zones and obtain golden residency with their families.

Hamdan also thanked every father and mother for their continuous efforts and pushing their children to reach the stages of excellence, and to every teacher and educator for their honesty, appreciation of the mission and their efforts.
