Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared a breathtaking animation video of Burj Khalifa on Tuesday.

The Computer-generated imagery (CGI) video showed a giant umbrella pops up from the Burj Khalifa to cover it from rain.

Sheikh Hamdan captioned the video, “It’s that time of the year! #MyDubai ️ ”

The video was also shared by Brand Dubai with the caption, “Rain takes over #Dubai’s sky, land, and water adding more magic to its winter season. #DubaiDestinations.”

The clip showed the Burj Khalifa opening up like a futuristic building to launch the brolly.

The video garnered over 488,740 likes and 6,000 comments on Instagram.

Most parts of the UAE on Monday saw heavy downpour as a result of unstable weather conditions, which are likely to end on Wednesday.

Rain fell on separate areas across the UAE on Monday and was accompanied by lightning and thunder at times and by a 3˚C drop in temperature.

Sharjah Municipality on Monday decided to close all parks in the city temporarily because of the rain to maintain safety of the visitors.

This is not the first time Sheikh Hamdan has shared such a video.
