Water freezes on Jebel Jais as UAE records lowest temperature of the season

Winds on Monday will be light to moderate blowing from the southeast to the northeast at a speed of 10 to 20, amounting to 30 kilometres/h.

Jabal Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature of 1.9°C at 4:15 am on Sunday. Jabal Al Rahba in RAK also recorded 4.2°C, and Jabal Mabrah recorded 4.6 °C, while Rukna in the city of Al Ain in Abu Dhabi, recorded 6.7°C.

The country witnessed weather stability on Sunday after being affected by a surface depression from the southwest, with an upper depression extending from the north, accompanied by an air current from the west, and a cold and moist air mass in the upper layers of the atmosphere which caused heavy rains to fall during the last period.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expected Monday's weather to be clear to partly cloudy in general, and humid at night and on Tuesday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or light fog formation.

Winds on Monday will be light to moderate blowing from the southeast to the northeast at a speed of 10 to 20, amounting to 30 kilometres/h.

The sea will be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

Tuesday's weather, according to the NCM, will be clear to partly cloudy in general, with a rise in temperatures, and humid at night and on Wednesday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with the possibility of fog or light fog formation, especially in the north.

Tuesday's winds are southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, sometimes active at sea, at a speed of 15 to 25, amounting to 40 kilometres/h, NCM indicated.

The sea will be light to moderate, turbulent at times at night in the Arabian Gulf, and light in the Sea of Oman, NCM reported.

The NCM indicated that Wednesday's weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general, with the formation of low clouds in the morning on the eastern coast, and humid at night and on Thursday morning in some inland areas.

On Wednesday, the winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, brisk at times, and the sea will be moderate to light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

Thursday’s weather, according to the NCM, will be clear to partly cloudy in general, and cloudy at times, with the formation of low clouds in the morning on the eastern coast, and humid at night and on Friday morning over some inland areas, with the possibility of fog or light fog formation.

Thursday’s winds will be southeasterly, changing to northwesterly, light to moderate, brisk at times, at a speed of 10 to 25, amounting to 40 kilometres/h at sea late at night.

The sea is expected to be light, becoming moderate to turbulent at times, on Thursday night and Friday morning in the Arabian Gulf, and light in the Sea of Oman.
