"It's not for everybody, simply because there is no running water, there is no electricity, we are in the middle of nowhere," he said.

A naturist is a person who appreciates the beauty and benefits of nature and believes that people should not have to wear clothes.

But there are several other aspects to a naturist, that vary according to a lot of factors.

John and Helen Donson, from Chippenham, Wiltshire exemplify naturist life in all its purity.

Ever wondered how it would be to spend most of your life naked? Well, John and Helen know it well.

The two met in 2011 but Helen was already a naturist from 2006. As for John, he was already well-adjusted to being naked in front of others after having shared communal showers with colleagues during his stint with the military.

The couple had a Pagan wedding ceremony at a naturist club - Pines Outdoor Club in Longhope, which is always on the lookout for new members.

The two have been living for years without running water, and electricity. Also, they are always naked.

John admitted their lifestyle is very unique and it's something that everyone can't follow due to the limitations and challenges. Because of their choices, many of their friends and family members have misconceptions about them.

"It's not for everybody, simply because there is no running water, there is no electricity, we are in the middle of nowhere," he said.

John and Helen now spend their time learning about hedge husbandry, wildflowers, and wildlife. The site where they live in their makeshift van has protected species of orchids. So, the couple ensures they are extra careful.

"That's why naturist is probably better terminology than nudist - a nudist is a person who takes their clothes off but is not interested in what's around them," said John.

"For us, there are strict rules on personal hygiene - we take our own chairs and our own towels. If we take our clothes off, we put a towel down on our own chair, to sit on. When we come home, those towels are washed," he added.
