Ukrainian soldier’s lullaby for his little baby has left the internet teary-eyed

The New Year may have ushered in bright rays of positivity and happiness among people across the globe, but darkness still prevails in war-torn Ukraine. After the military strikes ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, cities have been bombed ruthlessly and residents have been displaced. But amid all the turmoil, this video of a Ukrainian soldier singing a lullaby to his toddler has indeed touched people’s hearts.

Shared on Twitter by Anton Gerashchenko, the advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the video shows a soldier named Oleg Berestovyi playing the guitar as his toddler son sleeps peacefully on it. The video contains the translated lyrics of the song as well and they are deep and impactful.

The clip has been viewed over 23k times and garnered several reactions. While some wrote about how the soldier’s lullaby is nothing short of a powerful lesson of resistance, others were simply mesmerized by the warmness radiating from the clip.
