Man flies from UK to Italy, buys pizza for less than the cost of ordering a Domino's meal
A man has left netizens stunned after he flew from the UK to Italy and bought a pizza for less than it would cost to order a Domino's pizza.
Callum Ryan said that he "set himself a challenge" of getting a flight to Milan and eating a pizza on a tight budget of £19.99 (Rs 2,000) - which is the usual cost of a medium pizza at Domino's (without the delivery cost).
Ryan found a last-minute flight that cost him just £8 (Rs 800). He found a pizzeria in Milan that gave him a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a pesto pizza roll as he walked in.
In a video, he said, "I set myself a challenge to fly all the way to Italy and buy a pizza for cheaper than the price of a Domino's. This is how it went. The plan was to spend less than a medium-sized Domino's pizza, which usually costs £19.99. I literally got a flight last minute for £8 - I was absolutely buzzing!"
He continued, "The next day, I hopped on my flight and landed in Milan. I used TikTok to help me find the best pizza place around and headed straight there. On arrival, I got a free glass of Prosecco and this mini pesto pizza thing, and it was quite nice! I ordered a Margherita pizza and a drink - but of course, the drink doesn't count because that's an optional extra."
He added, "When the pizza arrived, it looked beautiful. But after finishing, it was time to pay the bill. The pizza on its own was €8.50 and the table service was €2.50, which means €11. When converted, that's £9.72 - which means we did it!"
Ryan paid just £17.72 (Rs 18,000) for his flight and his pizza.
Netizens were gobsmacked after watching Ryan's video.
One user said, "Is no one going to acknowledge the fact he bought a plane ticket for £8?" Another added, "£8 FOR A TICKET!!!!"
Some people pointed out that Ryan didn't include the fee for his return flight, with one asking, "How did you get back?"
