Filmmaker Vinod Kapri is known for bringing forth some heartwarming and wonderful stories that can inspire or simply put a smile on one’s face. His latest post is no different. Kapri took to Twitter to share a sweet video from Pakistan. He also added a wonderful story from his travel diaries.
The post, originally shared by Farid Khan, shows a tourist standing in front of a person selling oranges. As the man tries to give the shopkeeper money for the fruit, other people promptly protest against it. One man even proceeds to call the tourist a mehmaan (guest) of the country and refuses to take any money.
Kapri shared one such similar experience that he had during his visit to Karachi. “A similar incident happened with me in Karachi too. The shopkeeper was Shahbaz. When he came to know that I was from India, he first ordered lassi and then after shopping, he refused to accept the money. Shahbaz said that I am from the same country only. After some stubborn requests from my side, he accepted half of the amount,” Kapri reminisced.
The video has garnered over 1.3 million views and tons of reactions. The unique video received positive responses from people. People were impressed to see the warmth of the common folk in Pakistan.
