Man says he cleared Google interview but failed tenant interview in Bengaluru
A man shared how he cleared Google interview but failed a tenant interview in Bengaluru.
Ripu Daman Bhadoria took to LinkedIn to share his journey of tenant interviews in Bengaluru.
He relocated from Seattle to Bengaluru last year. "I searched for a decent place to rent, but it was extremely difficult due to the high demand post-COVID," he wrote.
"Given the demand, many apartment owners started interviewing prospective tenant. I was caught off guard as I miserably failed my first-ever tenant interview. That was a moment of awakening of me as for me as I realised that there are harder interviews to clear than Google," he said.
Bhadoria added, "As I strive to introspect and improve evry time I fail, I directly asked the landlord for feedback on my interview performance and if there were any red flags they noticed, since HR/Recruiter wouldn't reach out to me with interview results in this case."
He further said, "The landlord was transparent in sharing feedback that they believed I was likely to buy a house, given that I work for Google, I never thought that working at Google could be so disadvantageous."
Bhadoria said that he then successfully cleared the next tenant interview.
The post has gone viral, garnering more than 8,800 likes. Here's what netizens said:
