11-yr-old Chinese boy cycled 130 kms for almost 24 hrs. Here's why
In today's dose of bizarre content, we have a story of an 11-year-old boy who cycled for almost 24 hours to reach his grandmother's house. Why, you ask? Well, he wanted to voice his grievances about his mother, following an argument they had. Yes, that happened.
According to the South China Morning Post, the little boy cycled for a whopping 130 kms to reach his grandma's house located in Meijiang, a county in Zhejiang.
The boy relied on road signs to navigate but, despite his best efforts, he took several wrong turns, which caused him to take twice as long as he had anticipated to reach his destination. He fuelled himself with bread and water that he had brought from home, until he was discovered alone and exhausted in an expressway tunnel by passers-by. The police officers who came to his aid were astounded by his incredible feat.
Upon being rescued, the boy was taken to the nearest police station, where he was unable to walk due to extreme fatigue. He was later collected by his parents and grandmother, who were understandably shocked and relieved to find him safe and sound.
The boy's mother actually thought that it was just a tantrum.
"I want to know how his grandmother gave a lesson to his mum in the end," a user wrote.
Another user commented, "This kid is a genius, knowing how to find his way by following road signs and daring to travel at night."
